on the Kiski Junction Railroad, Schenley PA

7.1 inches of rain, by 4 pm on Friday, Schenley road above tracks was washing out
By Sat the 18th the water was till pouring off the road above, the culvert pipe was gone
and so was the retaining wall. This pipe was 48" steel or cast iron.
Above picture was taken from the edge of Schenley Road across from the former Schenley Hotel
going down our branchline to Bagdad, Kiski River Campsites are below our track.
During reconstruction, work being done by Atlas Co. of 84 Pennsylvania
The brand new 48" reinforced concrete pipe. Track was back in service. Oct. 1st.
About 140 tons of rock here.
