Alco Stats. for KJR # 7135 Our ALCO (American Locomotive Company, located in Schenectady, New York and founded in 1901) S-1 Switcher originally #6, was built in 1943 (USN 65-00536) for the U.S. Navy.(Alco builders number 69860 from their files ).It was used most of its career at Fort Dix, New Jersey as Army #7135 From 1974 to 1976 it was operated by the U.S. Navy at the Naval Weapons Station Earle in Colts Neck, New Jersey. The locomotive was moved to CASS, West Virginia in August of 1976 and from there to the South Branch Valley Railroad. The Kiski Junction Railroad acquired the locomotive in June of 1995.
